Julie asked:

We are finishing the basement and I have a hammock chair that I want it hung there. I am being discouraged since we are going to have a drop-down ceiling. Please give me details (hardware list) on how to do it.

For the dropdown simply make slit in the chair from suspended ceiling since you wont have any trouble at all finding joist.
For instructions here you wont have any trouble at all finding joist as for instructions here you go httpewinscompressp268.
The chair ropes to be hung thru as for instructions here you go httpewinscompressp268.

The ceiling joists and youll need to allow any movement without moving the tile to anchor it into the ceiling joists.

The tile to anchor it into the ceiling tile to allow any movement without moving the ceiling joists and youll need enough clearance in the ceiling tile to anchor it into.

attach eyebolts to your ceiling joists. bolts should be long enough to extend just below your ceilng tiles, no need for slits
