A Barbados Luxury Boutique Hotel best describes Little Arches, one of the most charming and distinctive properties on the island of Barbados. It is a well hidden privately owned boutique hotel with great views of Miami Beach on the south coast of Barbados, and in fact used to be a privately owned villa
It has been described as a 10 rooms and suites, absolute gem of a hotel, with great Caribbean colours in the rooms and charming blue rustic pottery all over the place, and is one of the top places in the Caribbean for a romantic honeymoon getaway. It is the personal touches that keep it ahead of any rivals. There are wrought iron four poster beds, the rooms are somewhat non standard in shape or size, in fact higgledy-piggledy may well be the best description. Add to this local pottery handbasins in the bathrooms, and double hammocks around the pool, make it perfect for that honeymoon escape. Add to this you’ll not meet anyone you know!!
It lives up to this description, and in fact is a real discovery, absolutely right for people who like personalised hotels with colourful rooms, just perfect for a honeymoon getaway.
There is no doubt at all that family owned hotels offer something that a large resort cannot, and here Little Arches scores hugely. This hotel has a real ‘at home’ feeling to it, and also that touch of exclusivity which sets it apart. The beauty of it is that it is tucked away down a sleepy beachfront road, close to the beach, yet far from the madding crowd, so far as to seem remote, even isolated. There really are views from Little Arches of Miami, or Enterprise Beach, and the incredibly colours of blue in the sea to die for.
The location is superb, being a few steps to the beach and a stroll from Oistins which will give you some action on Fridays after a few days of utter relaxation.
A top class luxury boutique hotel should have a high class restaurant, and Little Arches doesn’t disappoint in this respect either. The Café Luna restaurant offers al fresco dining that is of a far better quality than you will find around the Caribbean, and that includes some supposedly world class establishments. There is no better place in Barbados to dine out under the stars overlooking Oistins Bay. If you love great salads, then you will find them here, or perfectly pan fried shrimp cakes, and in the winter the Saturday night Lobster certainly brings in the crowds.
In fact having stayed at Little Arches, and sampled La Luna it is unlikely you will ever want to stay in a large impersonal hotel again.
It is fair to say that if you are looking for the perfect escape, the total romantic honeymoon getaway, then you will have found it at Little Arches. It is the best of all worlds in that it is totally private, very relaxed, absolutely a personalised experience, and at the same time very stylish and relaxed.

One great idea for kid’s rooms is putting up hammocks for toy storage. Run a hammock across a wall in the kid’s room and make a game out of putting toys away. The kids can see all of the toys through the mesh and don’t have to dump everything out to play with something.
Using hammocks for toy storage means that the kids can even toss the toys into the hammock. It becomes a game instead of work because kids will throw there toys without the say of parents.
When the parent says to throw all of the toys into the hammock, they might not believe what they heard. As long as the parent allows the kids to do it in their own way it will be a fun activity for them. It gets the toys up off of the floor and makes the room be able to be walked through.
This is only one step in keeping kids rooms picked up but it will work up to the point when they become teenagers and know more than their parents.
Some Things To Watch For
Using hammocks for toy storage is a great idea but with young children it might not be a good idea because there are dangers. The straps of the hammock can possibly get wrapped up around a small child and cause a risk of choking.
If the parent isn’t watching the kids at the time it happens, it could seriously injure or kill a small child. Also, using hammocks for toy storage can be dangerous because some toys should never be thrown and if a toy hits a sibling or friend, it could cause an injury.
One other thing that can happen while using hammocks for toy storage is that the wall behind the hammock can get beat up and maybe even break the drywall which will then need to be repaired.
Finally, having hammocks for toy storage can be an easy way to keep the room clean without having to constantly fight with the kids, but should only be put into rooms that can be closely monitored in order to keep the kids safe and without major injuries.

The first thing is to decide what style hammock you want. There are a multitude of styles, sizes, materials, and colors available, so having some sort of game plan up front can save a lot of regrets later on. You will also need to determine how you will hang your hammock. While the movies and television show a hammock hung between two trees, most people do not have that option. If that is your case, you will also need to look into a stand to hang your hammock. These are typically sold separately.
One brand you may want to consider is the Pawleys Island brand of hammock. Pawleys Island Hammocks have been around since the late 1800’s, and they are thought to be the oldest manufacturer of hammocks in the United States. They have a reputation of building durable, comfortable hammocks. While they may not be the least expensive hammocks on the market, they are considered to be one of the best. Consider this to be like an investment in your furniture. By spending a little more up front, you will have a hammock that will give you years of enjoyment.
Another brand to consider is DuraCord. Duracord is a material that provides the softness and comfort of cotton, but has the durability and color-fast properties of other synthetic materials. It is fast drying and mildew resistant, and typically has been treated with an ultra-violet protection. Duracord is being used more and more by hammock manufacturers, like Pawleys Island and Hatteras, in the construction of hammocks. Because of its comfort and durability it makes an excellent option that helps keep your hammock enjoyable for years to come.
Although outdoor hammock materials are designed to be weather resistant, the longer it is left outdoors the shorter its useful life will be. It is suggested that you put the hammock away during the winter, or if there are long periods of time that it will not be used.
Many of the more popular brands of hammocks are available in stores, but the real savings can be found online. Because hammocks can be found in stores it makes it possible for you to try out different styles and sizes to find the right hammock for your needs. After you’ve found the hammock you like, you can then go online to make your purchase. That way you can get the hammock that is right for your needs, and at a price that is right for your budget.
Once you have your hammock delivered and set up, the only other thing you will need is some free time and an ice cold beverage. Make the most of your relaxation time by enjoying a comfortable, quality hammock.

Different Types Of Dog Hammocks
There are many different types of dog hammocks to match the large variety of dog available so, the first thing you need to look for in a hammock for your dog is the size and also the weight that it will sustain; there is a huge difference between Yorkshire terrier and cocker spaniel for example and that must be reflected in the dog hammock if you want to buy the best suitable type for your best friend.
The next thing to consider when shopping for dog hammocks is the space where you will be setting it; you will require sustaining setting for the hammock if you don’t purchase one that already has them inbuilt. The great part about any type of hammock whether they are for humans for pets is that you can move them where you like for example, if it is summer and you want to spend the afternoon in the garden in your hammock all you need to do is move it there along with your dog’s hammock and you have yourselves a comfortable and relaxing setting for the day.
Like the hammocks made for humans you will find that there are also many materials and color to choose from for your dog’s hammock but the material from which they are made may not differ vastly, as it is required to be extremely durable and waterproof as well as easy to clean in case your pet decides to soil it with food or dirty paws.
Let Your Pet Know How Much He Or She Means To You
You will find that your dog will love his her hammock because it will provide the same benefits it does to you and even if pets don’t have much stress to deal with other then worrying when is the next meal or when they will go out to play again, your pet will be rejuvenated and refreshed every time he or she uses it and more importantly he or she will be grateful to you for the hammock.
A note of warning is that dogs may find the hammock’s material very suitable to chew on and thus, damage it therefore initially you will have to watch and train your pet.

Approachable only by sea, and hidden in the jungle. This is a 50 acre hideaway and the ultimate Caribbean Vacation Getaway.
This is an expensive but inclusive Caribbean Vacation, and be warned despite the price you won’t get five star luxury.
What Petit Byahaut is all about is escaping the stresses and pressures of modern life, because here in this part of St Vincent there are no roads, no telephones, no televisions.
Indeed unless your electrical equipment works off batteries you should leave it behind.
At this particular Caribbean destination what you will find are a multitude of exotic birds, brightly coloured flowers, and a coral reef full of tropical fish and undamaged coral. All this is possible because Petit Byahaut is at the forefront of environmental care and protection.
Petit Byahaut will never have more than 14 guests at any one time, and the accommodations are totally unique. There are seven accommodation units, although for all practical purposes only five are in use for couples, which is one reason that Petit Byahaut is so suitable as part of a Caribbean honeymoon vacation.
Occasionally the other two, which are of lesser quality might be used for larger groups or for older children Each room is effectively a dwelling, and they are all completely private and unique in their design.
You could be accommodated in a room sized tent on a tree house platform. You might be in a slightly odd wooden hut with mosquito screens. It would be more than fair to say that Petit Byahaut is obviously not for everyone.
Each dwelling is however supplied with ceiling fans, reading lights, flush loos, and freshwater showers, with the power supplied by photo electric cells using the sun. Of course when the sun doesn’t shine this has obvious consequences not the least of which can be a lack of hot water!!
Be warned the bathrooms are freestanding, and outside with your privacy assured by banks of fresh flowers and their clever positioning.
The dwellings have queen sized beds with fresh bed linen every day, and each dwelling has a veranda with chairs, a table and hammocks to sit or lie and admire the views.
One of the major necessities on any honeymoon vacation, in fact any vacation destination is the quality and quantity of the food. More than one exotic Caribbean vacation and honeymoon has been totally spoiled by poor food. Petit Byahaut is a total exception in that the food is a real focus, and as such is of incredibly good standard. There are three meals a day and picnic lunches in the inclusive price. Meals are served in their tiny alfresco restaurant and bar, where the seats are tree branches with a view of the bay. As you might expect the meals are focused on healthy eating with all dietary requirements catered for. You will especially find home baked bread, yoghurt and cookies as well as fresh local fruit, and the herb and vegetable garden plays an important role. You can snack liberally throughout the day!!
So what do you do in this Robinson Cruso hideaway on St Vincent?
Well there is fabulous snorkeling in the cove, or at Bat Cave. If you want to scuba dive you can do that on the reef off the beach. Trips farther away are also organized.
Be idle and swim a bit off the volcanic beach, sunbathe in your hammock, whilst relaxing and reading a book from the good library.
Petit Byahaut has kayaks and a sailboat if you feel energetic.
In addition there are rainforest walks, visit to Trinity Falls, Climb up Soufriere Volcano, and visit other islands in the Grenadines. In other words whatever you want, a lot or a little, or nothing at all!!
In terms of who you are likely to be sharing Petit Byahaut with, it is very popular with top executives, honeymooners, even celebrities who want to vanish for a bit.
isn’t suitable for children under the age of twelve, or for guests who need 21st Century trappings. The best time to go is December to March, and it is shut September and October.
You will need to take insect repellent, and possibly a jersey or jacket for the cooler evenings. A week would probably be the optimum time to enjoy this Caribbean Vacation getaway at Petit Byahaut on St Vincent.

The first reference of domestic ferrets was in 400 B.C. in Greek writings although some believe the ferret to have been domesticated long before that by the Egyptians. Ferrets have also been used throughout time to flush rabbits and even be carried on ships and rat exterminators. In Modern times they have been used as aircraft and conduit wire runners.
Before buying a ferret and bringing it home you should make sure that they have the necessary vaccinations. You should find out if they have been fixed or descented (most in us pet stores are). Also consider visiting your local shelter and rescue a ferret in need of a loving home. You should take great care in providing a large enough cage for them to move about in and there should be a separate places for them where they can sleep and eat properly. There are many cage items available including cozy beds, hanging bunks, and hammocks. A ferret cage should be kept indoors and out of direct sunlight. Ferrets are very sensitive to temperature changes and are vulnerable to heat stroke at temperatures above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Today there are many ferret rescue organization that are established for the welfare and safety of domestic ferrets. These organizations are working for to educate the public about the total care of the ferret as a pet.
Ferrets can be trained efficiently but it is not as easy as training a dog. The best way to train a ferret is with short training session as they don’t all have the longest of attention spans. Positive reinforcements such as treats and praise work well for encouraging positive behavior such as using a litter box. Ferrets are social by nature and need your attention or they may become depressed and maybe even stop eating. If you do not have about 4hrs a day to devote to your ferret than it might not be the pet for you. Nipping is also a problem of ferrets but the habit is easily broken if you are consistent with your training.
Ferrets are strict carnivores and should only be fed meat or ferret food made from mostly meat products. Ferret food containing fish as a main ingredient should not be used. Ferret food should be around 40 percent animal protein and about 25 percent fat. It is also important to trim your ferrets nails every two or three weeks.
Ferrets can make great pets but they are not for everyone, make sure your comfortable with all the aspects of owning a pet ferret before you commit to purchasing or adopting one.
